Nature’s Rhythms
Nature’s Rhythms brings together the work of talented artists Barbara Bateman and Wendy Steer, each exploring the natural world through their distinctive approaches to texture, colour, pattern and shape.
While their practices differ, both artists capture the rhythms and movement of nature in compelling ways. Steer’s botanical elements celebrate the beauty of the natural world and invite a contemplative connection with nature. Bateman’s works draw inspiration from the Australian bush, particularly Cathedral Rock along the Great Ocean Road near Lorne, and are filled with movement and energy.
