This series explores the interplay between colour and light in shaping composition. The organic forms of flowers and other plant life allow me to think carefully about each brushstroke. I am considering which elements I want to emphasise and which elements should remain implied. The titles speak to both the viewer’s presence within the scenes I’ve painted and the attitude I felt when exploring new painting techniques.
