Geoff had come across a publication at the NGV bookshop containing digital images of futuristic landscapes and cityscapes produced by artists using a variety of software packages. He wanted to see what could be achieved with paint to produce what other artists had achieved digitally. The plan was to have no firm composition in mind when commencing these paintings – instead, the intention was to allow each work to evolve over time and develop a life of its own.
