Study of Tao #40

I want to combine Western techniques with Chinese cultural “Tao” to produce paintings that create new combinations of visual language. In this painting, my intention is to use the image of bowl to evoke an atmosphere of calmness, vital energy and contemplation for the viewer; whilst also paying particular attention to the manipulation of space, light, colour, the edges of form, surface, format and scale.
