Machu Picchu to Marrakech

A lifetime of travelling and observation has been a catalyst for my sculpture. How humans have responded to their natural world, manipulating their environment to provide a basic existence is universal. Some have developed and refined structures and images to levels of extraordinary sophistication.
The bronze works in this exhibition “Machu Picchu to Marrakech” are motivated by journeys over many years through Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, Italy, Spain and Morocco.
My sculptures are not just objects, they hold a narrative as well, reflecting the spiritual beliefs and cultural needs of people through time and my responses to the past, present and future.
