eTHE MAN FROM NARRACAN There is this young man from Narracan Who paints treetops and creeks and islands and pools; Brushes and paints can canvas his tools. One day, he and Wendy determined a break A trip round the block they decided to take. So, they packed up their stuff and to the'van they did make. Up the East coast and over the Top Down through the Kimberley and home 'cross the Bight They'd take enough shots to bring memories to light. In the studio these films started to show The colours were squeezed, the brushes nearby Alive came the canvas, the paint had to dry The result is a Quadrant of space and of light, The tree top, the islands, the cliffs and THAT light; So, soak up this spectacle, soak up the MAN's sight. - Phil Henshall, 2018 | Graeme MYRTEZA, 'Narracan Creek 2', oil on canvas, 120x180cm, $4900 |
