Exhibition Highlight of the Week: Christine Cochran, "Where Water Makes a Picture of Itself in Stone" (acrylic and mixed media on linen, 76 x 137 cm, $3,000).
Christine Cochran’s painting reflects her love of travel and interest in experimentation with the mixed media: “The sculptural forms of Antelope Canyon had to be painted. Surfaces touched by light are accentuated using copper leaf. The use of metallic paint and leaf highlights colour, texture and light, which subtly change throughout the day, giving another dimension.”
