"Modern birds as we know them evolved from the dinosaurs. Towards the end of the Mesozoic period there existed a host of feathered, ‘bird like’ dinosaurs. These are my inspiration today, ranging from fossils to the amazing array of colours, shapes and forms to the vast variations of birds that now exist worldwide. Looking back to another civilisation, the Egyptians have inspired a series of etchings based primarily on the ‘Cat’ who was worshiped and mummified according to the law of the day."
