Quadrant Gallery would like to congratulate Tony Jackson on being selected to exhibit in China's Pingyao International Photo Festival 2017, curated by Jeff Moorfoot.

The Pingyao International Photo Festival runs from 19th September to 25th Sept, 2017 in Pingyao Ancient City, Shanxi Province and is China's largest festival of photography. For more information, please see here.

Congratulations to Monika Feuerstein on the opening of her exhibition 'Inner Sanctum', which opened Thursday 21st September.

See link below for speeches by the artist and Robin Stewart, opening the exhibition.

'Inner Sanctum' will be running until October 14 and we will be open on Grand Final public holiday, 10am - 4pm.

This will be at Quadrant Gallery, 6-7pm.

Sculpture Workshop Photos - part 3

The final sculpture workshop is complete!

This stage of the series saw everyone coating their 3 mould pieces with ciment fondu, these mould segements were then tied together and kept wet to ensure that they bind together. From here the external plaster will be carefully chipped away to reveal the end work.

Quadrant will be holding a night at the gallery to showcase the sculptures of the workshop participants, details are TBC.

This stage of the series sees the casting process being undertaken, with the preparation of the mould for infill of ciment fondu.

Sculpture Workshop Photos

Quadrant Gallery is excited to share some photos showcasing the progress of the sculpture workshop series!

These workshops are being held over a 5 week period with students learning to work from a live model, with these works then being moulded and cast in ciment fondu. We look forward to seeing the end result!

Quadrant Gallery would also like to congratulate Ross Miller on the workshops and for making them such a success.

Miller’s sculptures have been acquired by public, tertiary, and private collections in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and Italy. Between the early 1960s and late 2000s, Miller had also maintained a distinguished career as an art teacher in regional Victoria as well as in prestigious tertiary institutions in Canada.
