From the beginning of my life (born Melbourne 1946) I have been an artist. Always I have observed and responded artistically to all I experienced.

As a child growing up in country Victoria, many hours were spent during my Primary and Secondary Schooling drawing and painting features of the environment. In those early years I received several Art Prizes for my artistic endeavours.

At R.M.I.T I excelled in Fine Arts and later my work was acclaimed at Melbourne University where I completed a four year Bachelor Degree in Education focussing on Art & Craft Education.

I taught Secondary Students for twenty-five years and during that time I developed a love of Art in my students.  At Billanook College, Tintern ACGS and Huntingtower School, I was Head of the Art Departments and taught my students how to paint with amazing success.  A number of my students have succeeded in becoming significant Australian Artists such as Mary Tonkin and  Bianca Hester.

Through my busy years of Teaching, I nevertheless continued to develop my artistic endeavours. I exhibited and sold many paintings and drawings throughout Australia and overseas. My artworks have been exhibited in many group exhibitions, including the National Gallery of Victoria. There were solo exhibitions at St. Johns Southgate, the Victorian Artists Society, The Highway Gallery, Qdos Regional Contemporary Art Gallery, Yering Station Art Gallery, Chapel on Station in Box Hill and Quadrant Gallery. During this year, 2016 I exhibited 6 of my larger oil paintings at Agora Gallery, New York. The title of the exhibition was “Out From Down Under & Beyond: Fine Art from Australia & New Zealand”. Also presently 8 paintings are being exhibited in the in ARTEXPO 2016 in Milan, Italy.

I retired from teaching at the end of 2004 in order to become a full-time artist. Presently I am involved in painting, and drawing the landscape in and around the Otway area near Lorne and throughout Australia . The works range in size from 153cm x 137cm down to smaller works of 38cm x 30cm.
Another aspect of my work is figurative, drawings, prints and paintings which includes both humanitarian and Religious themes. These works come from within and are a response to my spiritual feelings.

Many have purchased my artworks previously and are constantly asking when my next exhibition will be. During my artistic career my artworks have either been commissioned or sold to individual clients. My paintings and drawings are represented in private Collections throughout Australia, England, Ireland, Germany and America.
