Quadrant Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located in Hawthorn. The gallery has a lovely ambience and has very good exposure to Barkers Road, with close proximity to nearby restaurants and cafes. We are located near the corner of Church Street and opposite the Kew Tram Depot.
Our aim is to show an exciting, interesting mix of art in all mediums and to promote and nurture the artists represented by the gallery, we will provide the best atmosphere in which to present the works of a stimulating and innovative range of artists and curators.
The whole gallery provides approx. 42 lm of hanging space including the movable wall. This space can be divided into 3 areas as required for exhibitions. The average ceiling height is 2.8m. We also have excellent systems for hanging, lighting and sound, which enhance each exhibition.
Pam Jackson has a Fellowship Diploma in Interior Design (RMIT) and has worked for many years as one of the directors of Quadrant Design Architects. More recently she has completed a Diploma of Visual Arts at Box Hill (Tafe) followed by a degree in Fine Arts (hons) at RMIT. She is a practising artist and her areas of interest are printmaking, drawing, textiles and painting.
Tony Jackson has a Fellowship Diploma in Interior Design (RMIT) and Bachelor of Architecture (RMIT). He is a director of Quadrant Design Architects which he and Pam formed over 20 years ago. Tony is a painter and creative investigator of photography.
Quadrant Gallery is a natural progression for Pam and Tony as they have both been involved in and passionate about art all of their lives. Involvement in the world of art and architecture has provided them with a dynamic stimulus which they hope to further explore for the enjoyment of both artists and patrons.
Quadrant Gallery has great street frontage and exposure. The entire space has a sophisticated yet comfortable feel with excellent lighting, and display systems. A quality integrated sound system has also been installed.
The gallery space has the opportunity to be divided into two or three exhibition areas using our moveable wall, giving exhibitors greater flexibility to integrate or divide the spaces as required.
The entire gallery area has an acoustic suspended ceiling, with LED spotlights on a 3 circuit track system. The floor of the front area of the gallery is polished concrete, while the back area has a real oak floor. The ceiling height is an average of 2.8m, with a total of 40 lineal metres of hanging space including the moveable wall.
